Five Reasons To Ride| Revolve Indoor Cycling

If you live in the greater Washington, D.C. area, including Northern Virginia and the Maryland suburbs, that should be the only reason you need to check out Revolve–an indoor cycling studio in the Clarendon section of Arlington, Virginia–but just in case you still are on the fence, here are five more reasons.

5 Reasons To Ride Revolve Indoor Cycling

  1. Indoor cycling is a fun way to work up an incredible sweat in full air-conditioning.
  2. Indoor cycling is great cross-training for running.
  3. Indoor cycling is a safer way to cross-train for running than road biking, especially when you are still learning to use clipless shoes on your road bike.
  4. Indoor cycling is a great way to fit in an extra training day for an epic bike ride.
  5. Revolve is conveniently located in the Clarendon section of Arlington, Virginia, has great instructors, and offers several different types of classes at different times of day.

I was really lucky that my first indoor cycling experience was at RevolveDC. The staff and instructors are very nice, and always offer to help any new riders set up their bikes. The instructors are flat-out amazing–they plan out awesome rides with great music and really work hard to motivate every rider to do their best. At the same time, it’s not a competitive environment. How hard you ride is always up to you (since you control the resistance setting) and is really known only to you (since no one else knows how far you’ve really turned that dial). 🙂

Rethink The Impossible,
Revive Your Spirit,
Reshape Your Future.

RevovleDC offers three types of classes: Real Ride (straight up cycling–my favorite); Body Ride (with a “break” mid-class for the longest few minutes of your life of upper body weights), and Barre Ride (30 minutes of cycling and 30 minutes of Barre-type exercises). They also have fun “theme” rides on Fridays (80’s music, British Invasion, movies, etc,).

If you want to find out more about RevolveDC, you can check out their webpage. You also might want to like their Facebook page for motivating (pinnable!) posts.

  1. Love indoor cycling too! Revolve is great. Right now I am riding outside for the next month or so. I entered your giveaway a few weeks ago. Fingers crossed!

A few days ago, you mean! Yes, our weather has been great for cycling, but I still can’t get outside more than once a week.

  2. Jennie G says:

I am fairly new to cycling/spin. Revolve sounds Awesome!

  3. I’m definitely going to have to try Revolve sometime!

  4. I used to love teaching indoor cycling. I need to find a new gym in my area that offers that.

  5. If I lived in your area, I would definitely enter the giveaway! I’ve been wanting to try indoor cycling for a while, but haven’t had a chance yet. Hopefully next month 🙂 Have a great weekend!

  6. I actually purchased a Life Fitness Lifecycle spin bike for my home gym in January, and love it! Of course, I’ve hardly used it this summer because I’d rather be outside. I live too far outside the city to use the Revolve sessions if I won, so I’ll pass on entering. What a great giveaway, though!

  7. Now that I’ll be in DC, I would so love to check revolve out!

  8. I need to try this place!

I am a horrible one for puns! I honestly never find the self confidence to attend classes. I get so nervous about whether or not I will be able to hang with more experienced folks. I did enjoy hot yoga when I did it in the Fall of 2010!
