Reebok ZQuick Running Shoes Review

My ZRated Run

The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Reebok.

I was so excited when I was invited to review the new Reebok ZQuick running shoes through FitFluential LLC. I mean, what runner doesn’t want to be “unnaturally quick”? When I opened the FedEx box, I was surprised to find the shoes tucked inside this reusable tote bag instead of a shoe box.

Reebok Experience Unnatural Quickness

I think I just found my new spinning gear bag!

I really love the color–but if you don’t there are lots more to choose from. 😉

Reebok ZQuick Shoes

I tried them out on a 1 mile test run on the treadmill, and when that went well, I wore them on a longer run on the bike path. I didn’t want to run too far in them for my first run, so I did a 4 mile out-and-back and then switched to my usual shoes for a 6 mile loop to finish my long run.

As soon as I started out, I noticed how light they were, but I also felt like they were providing good control and traction as I rounded corners, climbed slick overpasses and dodged puddles. Reebok calls this “performance handling,” because the Reebok ZQuick running shoes are inspired by high performance Z-Rated tires, and designed with a unique outsole geometry to deliver sports car handling to your feet.

Mmm, hmm.

Here you can see the no-sew upper with its light and flexible NanoWeb PU cast, which is designed for breathable protection and support. The shoes are low-cut for mobility and have CRTek high abrasion rubber in key wear areas for light weight durability. What you can’t see in my pictures is that instead of having a tongue that can slip out of alignment, the Reebok ZQuick shoes have a lightweight Bootie fit system that is also soft and cushy inside.

So, how did my run go? Let me show you:

Well, not really, but I did enjoy a ZRated run!

Reebok ZQuick Review

Sub-9:00 minute miles? That is unnaturally quick for me!

This is a light, low profile shoe with a flexible midsole, that seems perfect for brightening up my treadmill runs, zipping around the track, and being unnaturally quick at shorter distance races–I’m looking at you Lawyer’s Have Heart 10K, with all your sharp turns and hairpin curves!

If after reading this you want to check them out for yourself (and at under $90, why wouldn’t you?), please use this affiliate link to the Reebok ZQuick page on Reebok’s website. (If you click through and end up making a purchase, I may receive a small commission).

Do you like to try new running shoes, or do you stick with a tried-and-true shoe?

Do you have a set way of testing out or breaking in new shoes?

  2. What an awesome review! I am always looking for a different shoe just in case my favorite is not available – I’m really picky that way! Thank you for sharing!

  3. I have to say I love my Ryka’s best. But I currently have a pair of Reebok Ones that feel pretty good.

  4. That video was hilarious. Nice review – I usually stick with my Brooks, they haven’t let me down yet.

  5. Plus, these are so pretty! lol! I need new shoes, so I’m totally going to try these out!

  6. Crystal says:

  8. Cher says:

I am a walker, not a runner but wish I could be, I do like running shoes better though! Great review! #SITSBlogging

  9. Kim says:

They really do look awesome!! I’m open to trying new shoes – actually I have several different brands that I rotate around most of the time.

  10. Dana says:

I am new (again) to running and those shoes look super cool! You got me at “unnaturally quick at shorter distances” 🙂 I am wondering – I overpronate – would that be an issue with these sneaks?
    #SITSBlogging

    • Coco says:

They are a neutral shoe, so they may not be the best for overpronation, but I’ve found that I can wear neutral shoes on shorter runs without issues, and it can be better it mix it up.

  11. Visiting from #SITSBlogging (although I’m a pretty regular reader :)) – this is my first time hearing of these shoes – they sound fancy. Love that you had a great debut run. I just received a pair of Altra Zero Drop shoes and am slowly rotating them into my running rotation.

  12. Dee says:

Hi– I’m not a runner, but I do a lot of walking, and I hate heavy shoes. These are really cute, too! Dee, visiting from SITS. 🙂

  13. Same material as tires? You know they were meant to burn some serious pavement then! Nice work Coco!

  14. darcie says:

Interesting…I really need new running shoes…but if I get them, then I will have to RUN, or at least walk really fast, which I need need need to do…

    Stopping by from #sitsblogging

Thanks for sharing those cool shoes!

  15. These I might have to check out. I’m always wary of super light shoes. Great Review.

  16. Courtney says:

Me? Sooo not a runner. At least, not at this point in time. BUT! Those shoes really do seem awesome! What a great company to hook you up with something so wonderful to review.

    Love from SITS!

  17. Delia @ Blog Formatting says:

I admit that I choose running shoes based on how they look, then I try them on. I don’t care the brand that much 🙂 Thanks for sharing this review, Coco, these look indeed awesome!

  18. Dee Williamson says:

Great review! I may be checking them out. I’m in the market for some new running shoes.

Visiting from the SITS Girls comment love challenge.

  19. Prototype Mama says:

I love those shoes– I can never find a good running shoe–checking these out!

  20. Those are pretty cute! I’m not much of a runner, but I’ve struggled with flat feet and it’s been REALLY painful lately. I wonder if shoes like this would be better for me? I suppose anything is better than the flats and sandals I usually sport!

    • Coco says:

If your feet hurt you might have plantar fascitis — you should see a podiatrist just in case. He might suggest more supportive shoes. 😉

  21. Denise Gabbard says:

Those shoes look great– and I will take your word for it that they are great for running. I am so NOT a runner, I really wish I liked it– but I love to ride my bike instead 🙂

  22. Great color! I’m always on the lookout for new shoes, thanks for the review.

  23. I love trying out and finding the perfect running shoe! I am due for a new pair here soon, I will have to look into these. Visiting from SITS Comment Challenge!

  24. Marcia says:

Yay! I am loving them too! Quick for sure!

  25. Goldi says:

That was THE best review I’ve ever read/seen! I loved that commercial! I haven’t seen it on TV, but I love anything with the gymnasts in it! Hilarious! I am not a fan of how the shoes look up by the toe, but if they are squishy and comfy, who cares, right? I am in need of new shoes! I’ll make sure to buy through your link when the funds allow!

So for real…you got to do a review on running shoes valued at around $90 and keep them? Um, how cool is that? How do I get in on this deal!! I run, but I don’t blog about my health & fitness, but maybe I should! haha!

Really cool review. You rocked it! Keep doing it! And super impressive time!

  26. Great review! I’m usually a Saucony girl but occasionally will try a different brand if something catches my eye.

Anyone have bunions and tried this shoe? What kind of arch support? I love that you can customize colors at their site.

    • Coco says:

I don’t have bunions, but the toe box is pretty roomy. These shoes do not have much arch support, though. (I think most Nike shoes are on the neutral side.)

      • Tony Gunn says:

Great shoes for biking too. Helps with pain induced by TBI. Im not a lady, like all of you lovely ones, but dont hold that against me. Just a gentleman that appreappreciates quality. (And less chronic pain). So far, these shoes are living up to hype. Rare these days. Have great days ladies!!!

  29. Tony Gunn says:

Hey Delia, i totally get the good look thing too! Cant run because of nerve injury BUT can bicycle and these shoes work perfect on pedals. Plus my feets be looking sharp!
