Testing Out Bloglovin

Now that Google Reader is going away, I am testing out different reader services.

Tonight I am poking around on Bloglovin’ — it imported all of my blogs from Google Reader, but not the categories, although it was easy enough to create categories and sort my blog feeds in bloglovin’.

Have you found a good replacement for Google Reader?

I'm still testing some readers. I use Feedler on my phone and it connects with Google Reader. I've heard that Feedler is going to make some change and still work after July 1st. But, I do want to try Blog Loving on my desktop. I like that I get a notification when someone subscribes with Blog Loving.

Feedly is working well, both on the web and as an app. It works off Google's API, but they promise it'll run on their own platform soon. We'll see. WordPress also has an RSS reader that someone recommended to me.

I didn't care much for Feedly (I like its initial look but I don't really like that it takes me more time to go through posts and mark them read), so I'll give this one a try…
